Live in Florals

Floral pants... Where do I even begin?

How do I style them and avoid the pajama pants look? By taking a risk, duh. Actually, I decided to style them as the focal point of the entire look and kept everything else to a neutral minimum... except the bag (rule breaker for life). Anywhoozers, I really LOVE these floral pants from Uniqlo and basically stalked them before inviting (aka buying) them to my closet. The fit is fantastic and the length is perfect for my height. Uniqlo in general has some great prints going on in their stores.

Something else I would love to talk about is etsy. It's uh-mazing in every possible handcrafted way. It's where I get a bulk of my jewelry when not paying student loans back to back. You should definitely check out that site and go search crazy. P.s. you're welcome!

SOOOO, what do you think? Do I look double cray cray or did I do an awesome job at avoiding the pajama pants party AND pull off a great look to try? Drop me some lines.

Try Some Red On.

In case you haven't noticed red lips are in. But I'm sure you have. With so many different (gorgeous) shades you can truly experiment until you find the ONE. And if you're boyfriend starts to complain about all the new shades you bought, politely inform him that the latest red gloss you bought has a touch more of orange in it.

A Sure Thing: Denim x Denim.

Whenever there's a mention of Brooklyn in a film or book, I immediately think of Bay Ridge with its many third and fourth generation families calling it home. You can't get any more Brooklyn than that.

For a funday Sunday stroll through the nabe I opted for casual comfort with denim on denim. An added bonus was the breathing room the Chambray shirt gave (a must for brunch drinks). Weather was jacket optional which gave me the chance to show off my beauties from Atelier Yumi. Each of her creations is handmade in Chicago and inspired by ancient Egyptian queens. The green pyramid ring is made from Aventurine crystal; considered a good luck stone and protects the heart. Atelier Yumi is actually having a spring sale right now. Get 15% off your purchase when you use the code SPRINGLOVE at check out.

Still having to dress for Brooklyn's finest, I brought my outfit full circle with gold fresh to death kicks and bright emerald Rebecca Minkoff clutch.

New Lens!!

The boy and I have expanded our photo equipment (YAY!!) and now have a new Canon EF 40mm lens. And of course like the nerds that we are, WE HAD to go shoot.

These are some of our favorite shots from the day. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do. And if you're into photography, video and art take a venture over to comingsoonnyc.tumblr.com for even more amazing images shot by my colleagues.

P.s. The pup's name is Miles. Check out his mini cameos here.
